Stellar Chemical Private Limited (SCL), one of the largest Manufactures of Guaifenesin in India, have plans to achieve 25% world Market share of the same.

SCL began their manufacturing activity with API methocarbamol starting from Guaifenesin and introducing CARBAMATE functionality. Then in a backward integration move, developed manufacturing process for Guaiafenesin. Development of this technology needed skill for handling selective O-alkylation and hydrolysis of epoxide. The requisite skills have since been acquired to handle any process requiring such expertise.

Since then SCL have regularly introduced complex APIs and drug intermediates and  have added many products like Lamivudine, Celecoxib, Leflunamide, Glycopyrrolate etc; that involve multiple unit processes.
